Article Heaven - Less Work, More Profit

Writing articles about my system that contain a link to your affiliate name is the most profitable way to build your own affiliate business. 

But of course you don't have to write them yourself - as I've said previously, you simply copy and adapt my own articles. It's all here: http://www.lottoaffiliatecenter.com.

This is the most effective way to get started with a minimum of hassle and effort.

OK, in the Lotto Affiliate Center website I tell you to find my articles by going to my blog. 

But there's a better way, and it's less work too!

Just look up all my articles at http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ken_Silver. Right now there's over 60 written by Platinum Expert Author Ken Silver. That's me!

Line up the ones you feel are best for you to rewrite... and go for it!

A caution - you CAN'T use them unchanged. You MUST at least change the first few sentences and the last few sentences completely, otherwise your rewrite will not receive many clicks. And that means low sales. 

The two are connected: fuller rewrite = big sales.

There's a reason I'm suggesting you do it this way. 

For starters, the articles have already been adapted and will stand alone. So you don't have to do as much rewriting as my blog posts.

And second, they are proven best-sellers... the  reader click-rate is high for most of them. Those advantages filter down to you, once you rewrite and re-publish them.

The Truth About Top Products

As a ClickBank affiliate you are looking for a number of benefits when you promote a product:

- High commission rate... above 50% minimum.

- Low Gravity... means there is less competition so you have the market all to yourself.

I'm going to tell you to ignore these, because they are based on wrong thinking.

Just to remind you, my Silver Lotto System has a 60% commission rate.

Sure, it's great for income to have a high commission rate of 75% on a $50 product. That's $37.50 less ClickBank costs of, let's say, $5 = $32.50

But unless the product is in demand by desperate buyers, the $50 retail price might be a big barrier to sales. 

Look behind that price, for example. You don't know if the owners have set that price high to attract a keen affiliate crowd, hoping that the high price and 75% commission rate will suck them in. 

They are simply looking for massive traffic, and in the short term they might get it.

But in reality the market may think the price is too high for the product, and stay away in droves. 

I have firsthand experience here... 

A couple of years ago I experimented with putting the price of the Silver Lotto System up to $47 from $39.95. That's big pyschological increase, going from the 30's to the 40's.

Sales dropped immediately by over 25%. Even with the added profit from the price rise, there was not enough profit for me to keep it at the higher price. I tried a number of quick promotions which didn't increase sales, and so I quickly returned it to the lower price.

Immediately sales picked up again and returned to normal. Although I only had the nerve to experiment for 5 days, I wasn't willing to sustain such a large drop any longer for the sake of some number-crunching.

The market dictated the price, not me. 

So if you were looking at products solely on the basis of a higher price, you might remember that you may be getting less commission than is possible because the product is not selling well - it's facing customer price resistance.

Make Your Own Product? Or Go This Easier Way...

You might be wondering whether it's easier to make your own product than be an affiliate. When you read this list, you'll quickly know why you're going to be doing a lot less work as an affiliate...

1. Creating a product, whether it's an e-book or a software program, takes time or money. It's true that you can have your software built for you by a freelance programmer, but that takes expertise and good project management skills to do successfully. Too, the number of top-selling products are very few, and most of them have gained their popularity through methods that require years of skill.

2. You need a website to showcase your product or software. While there are many DIY (do-it-yourself) ways to build a website, most of them look amateurish. You need a slick site in order to build confidence in your buyers. And it doesn't stop there once your website is built... getting your site high in the search engines is an almost-impossible task for the majority of newbies.

3. You need to write good sales copy for your website. This is a talent which takes even good English writers many years to accomplish. It's unlikely that a beginner will be able to write convincing material.

4. You need a selling system comprising of an order form, credit card processing system and fulfillment system. Again, while these are available in module form, they lack the personalization that will help you sell your product in any quantity.

5. Most products are not sold off the website you've built... potential buyers simply do not have enough trust first time to make a buying commitment. So you need an e-mail autoresponder system to send them regular newsletters over a period of time to build that trust. Do you have the time to do this?

6. Selling a product or software means giving consistent and ongoing support. It is rare that you can "sell and forget." As your product becomes more popular, the time you need to spend with your support issues increases, and often this is not something you can outsource.


By now you've probably come to realize that being an affiliate takes considerably less effort than creating your own product - because there's only one action you need do as an affiliate... and that is to create traffic and visitors.

As an affiliate, all you need to concentrate on is building traffic and getting visitors to the reseller's website. Fortunately, that's a lot less work than many people think.

You can do it simply by posting on high traffic forums and making your comments. Or you can write articles and reviews about the product.

Alexa - Movin' On Up

I regularly check our Alexa.com rank.

It's not a big thing with me, because it's skewed towards the technical market - not the average guy buying a lottery product.

If you didn't know, Alexa tells you things about any website... visitors, pageviews, time on site and more.

Alexa works by getting people to put a toolbar on their browser to get information on browser visits.

Since it's a tool for techies, those kind of websites will show more accurately. The rest of us are really just an educated guess.

When I looked for one of the more important features this afternoon for http://www.silverlotto.com, I found we had moved up in traffic ranking to 180,967.

While it seems quite low, compare our position to the number of websites in the world. There are about a quarter billion, according to some guesses.

That puts us in the top .0002%.

What is interesting about our position is that we're on the move from about 218,000 just 3 months ago. And that's a BIG increase!

More traffic means more sales - the two are intertwined.

Now it's my aim to get us into the top 100,000 of most visited sites. Based on traffic from other sites at this position, probably doubling our visitors will do it.

That means everything else will double too - including sales and your commissions.

Should You Do A Lottery Review Site?

It's tempting to put up a website to review the Silver Lotto System. But what could you say about it?

"It gets wins 8 from 10 games."
"It gets more wins more often."
"It's cheaper to buy than others."
"It reduces your outgoing costs per game."

Sure, each of these things are true enough, but they lack the real oomph that makes a review compelling.

And that's testimonials.

Let's say you won $100,000 last weekend (and a few of my Silverites have won this amount). Does this mean because you won once, the new reader looking for the top lottery program will be impressed?

Not really. One win is not enough to convince most people. They will disregard it... they'll say that it's chance, a fluke, a quirk of nature. And probably click away from your testimonial and ClickBank link without buying.

There are ways around this. You could add dozens - even hundreds of testimonies. The more you can produce, the better the system will appear.

Well, how?

You could either win hundreds of times (slow!), or use the testimonials from many happy winners on my site.

And since it might take a while to get your own, use mine! Your ClickBank link takes you straight to it.

This brings me to the next question about a review site. If you still want to put one up (and it is a great idea), what's going to make your review website work better?

This: Instead of doing a review site, do a Comparison Site.

Make comparisons between Silver Lotto and a number of other lottery systems for:
- price
- number of testimonials
- products offered
- set-up time
- complexity

Once you get a similar main chart going, you can add testimonials and other details. This will give your site more impact.

Don't make it too time-intensive for the reader though... remember, you want your prospects to click through your ClickBank Nickname link to the order form, and the quicker they do this the better.

Where To Start?

You're a new affiliate just starting out. Where do you go to from here?

Here's three simple steps that will get you on the way to affiliate success. All you need do is put in a little time after work each day.

The secret is doing a little each day.

Our home is large, but very tidy. I keep it that way not by doing a major clean-up each spring, but one small task each day. It might be brushing the cobwebs off one outside wall one day. Or washing a car the next. Polishing windows in one room the next.

It's important to keep persistently moving on one task each day to get ahead in your affiliate bizness. You'll look back in a few weeks and be amazed at how much you have accomplished.

Here's the steps for one task. Note that this is just one way to get started - there are many more. But let's keep it simple to start:

STEP #1. Get your ClickBank Nickname here.

STEP #2. Rewrite one of my articles here.

STEP #3. Post your article on 5 article sites here.

Rinse and repeat.

One task in one day.

And a few weeks later you'll be amazed at how much progress you've made.

We're No.1 at ClickBank

The Silver Lotto System has been in the top 5 position at ClickBank for many years for keywords lotto or lottery. Most of the time we hit the top spot in popularity, as shown in this screenshot taken a few days back. Getting high on the search page in the ClickBank Marketplace is essential because that's where buyers look when they enter their keyword.

However it wasn't always this way. See this earlier post for why.

Hype, Overselling, And Making The Match

Today I want to talk about returns. Or call them refunds.

Sadly, some 1-2% do return my system, and that's the lowest of any digital product I know - but it's often returned for a different reason than we think.

I'm not talking about the buyer who didn't understand the product, or the buyer who didn't receive the product.

I mean the buyer who was oversold.

And it generally happens when there isn't a MATCH between the buyer's expectations and the product. It is usually because:

• - The product was promoted too hard ("This the BEST product I've EVER seen!!!! Everyone who buys it will win almost every time!!)
• - There was a wrong emphasis somewhere, usually on price ("Every other lotto system sells for $100 and more - the Silver Lotto System is the cheapest you'll ever see anywhere...).

How do you prevent this happening?

First, make sure you are not over-promoting the Silver Lotto System's virtues. Yes, it probably is the most effective lottery system on the market - thousands of testimonials confirm that.

But saying that it is a guaranteed winning world-beater is doing your buyers a disservice.

Why do you need to be so careful? Because the buyer will quickly claim a refund when they see the product doesn't match up to the hype.

Here's the best way to avoid this problem:

1. - Use my material. You don't need to write your own unless it's a real testimonial or you're a top-class copywriter. The best way is to rewrite my blog posts or newsletters (http://www.lottoaffiliatecenter.com/articles.htm). By using my prewritten information you'll also save a lot of time and energy.
   
   
2. - Funnel all your prospects into the main Silver Lotto System website as quickly as you can. Don't keep them on your own page for longer than you have to. Do this by sending traffic from newsletters or forum posts to your Lotto Mini-Website. My presell material does a better job than anything else and I've spent years honing it. Use it - don't reinvent the wheel!
   
   
3. - Only make claims that I have substantiated. Don't try and rewrite different claims from my facts to make them sound better. Over-statement is often worse than under-statement.

Two Major Changes

Since my last post I've made two big changes that will affect your sales positively.

1. New Order Form offer & Double Money-Back Guarantee.
2. New Support Form

The Order Form is the last stage for a buying decision. So it's important to have the right offer to keep prospects moving through the buying chain (sounds so clinical put that way - I still think of my buyers as people though!).

The second improvement is the new Support Form, aptly named askKenSilver.com. I designed it to give more value to both prospects and buyers. In this first week I've seen personal inquiries drop by over 50%.

This drop is remarkable... it means that my Silverites are getting their answers faster - and I hope more thoroughly too - since the Support Form gives more information instantly.

Customer satisfaction is one of the major goals I've set for the next 6 months. I need to do this because as sales have grown, the ability to do everything myself is getting less.

Automation is the answer, but still with a personal touch. I have another idea for that side of things, and I'll let you know when that launches.

ClickBank Glitch Gets Fixed Fast

I love ClickBank. Not only do they send me fast and convenient international transfers instead of a posted check (I qualify each week by doing over the minimum $1,000 of commission - many times that actually!) regularly as clockwork, but they take ALL the hassle out of sales payment and affiliate payments.
